An impressive guided tour

20 members of The Walchwil International Men’s Club recently embarked on an enlightening tour of Walchwil’s essential water supply facilities, expertly guided by Brunnenmeister Tobias Hürlimann. The journey took them to critical sites such as Allmigried and St. Adrian, two cornerstones of the village’s water infrastructure.

This advanced system is particularly noteworthy for overcoming the inherent challenges posed by Walchwil’s mountain geography, providing a remarkably reliable and continuous supply of highest quality water to all residents.

Tobias provided comprehensive insights into how Walchwil’s water is meticulously sourced from both natural springs and groundwater. He explained the intricate, carefully maintained network that collects this water and subjects it to rigorous treatment, guaranteeing the highest quality for residents. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the indispensable role of cutting-edge digital monitoring systems in maintaining a consistently safe and reliable water supply for the entire community. It was highlighted that the primary use for this pristine water is not for drinking, but for purposes such as gardening and hygiene.

During the immersive tour, the group observed impressive elements of the broader water infrastructure, including vast reservoirs discreetly concealed within the mountain, state-of-the-art water cleansing facilities, and powerful pumps alongside electricity-generating turbines.

The Walchwil International Men’s Club expressed profound admiration for the exceptional quality, advanced sophistication, and meticulous thoroughness of the facilities and processes dedicated to ensuring Walchwil’s outstanding water. They extended their gratitude to Tobias for his highly informative and captivating tour, which offered invaluable insights into the vital systems that perpetually provide Walchwil with fresh, pristine water.
